HERE are some interesting developments in the wi-fi (wireless fidelity) front.
For some time now, there have been factions comprising major players from the wi-fi industry on how to boost the speed and range of wi-fi. There have been several proposals since the middle of last year, but the votes needed to get them approved have been scarce. The Enhanced Wireless Consortium (EWC) gathered heavyweights like Intel, Cisco and Atheros and eventually came up with their own proposal.
